So, what are the secrets that can transform your learning experience into something effortless, enjoyable, and vastly more productive? Prepare yourself to uncover three powerful techniques that will elevate your study productivity to new heights!
Secret No.1 A Civilized Timetable A To-Do List!
Timetable? That's something you have probably in your set of visions this 2025. But please! On serious notes, gal/dude tear that thing off! That timetable is probably more than an aggravator that's pinching your stress and anxiety levels. Here's how:
You start your day with an optimistic approach. You start scheduling yourself with a "civilized timetable." Soon, after reading your so-called "civilized timetable", deep inside you start to feel suffocated and tense knowing that hey you haven't added all your tasks or maybe you end up in a "no-break" timetable type of situation. This timetable does nothing more than burdening your thoughts, and motivation.
Instead, create a to-do list with a special edition of highlighters or colourful sets. Isn't it interesting? Just three colours: red, green and yellow. Here, jot down all your tasks in one page. All of them that you want to accomplish in one day. Now, take red highlighter/colour and highlight the most important ones. Like the ones, you cannot miss even if the sky starts falling.
Second, choose the yellow colour with medium importance. Like the ones you can do after feeding your hungry cat, which has been purring all day.
Third, the green tasks have the minimum priority. Especially which you can do with minimum constraints and stress and can prioritise later.
Secret No.2 (THE BIBLE VERSE!) Use a stopwatch or Timer!
This is like a bible verse for me and yet the most important reason why I would like to write the blog. Guys, it's a strict call if you find it hard to concentrate. It's not your fault, it's just ..(the reason is one the 3rd secret.)
So what I want you to do is take a stopwatch or a timer, a manual one please cause your phone is already a distraction out there. If you wanna use your phone, switch on airplane mode, or silent mode and close the mobile data and wifi, please. Start by studying something, say a history chapter on Nazism for 2 hours or probably 3 hours if your pre-made the target. Take out the stopwatch and start at the very nook where you would begin with the first word (No late start, not early start!).
A key feature of this secret is mind that even the least distraction, you should stop the stopwatch For example, if you lose your pen which usually happens for no reason, you need to first stop the time running and then find the pen. Once you find it, resume the time again.
And trust me, it really really works! I found out that the 4 hours of mathematics that I was investing in, was actually 2 hours and 45 minutes only! The stopwatch here will be like a mirror to you, it will show you the effective time you have invested in. It will be a reminder to yourself whenever you say, "Oh! Invisible gods, I have invested 4 hours and yet I got none!". It will actually what amount of "real-time" you have invested for.
The next day, try to you know, increase your concentration span. For example, if you had started with just 2 hrs 45 minutes a day, increase it to just 2 hrs 50 ins a day ( a 5 min extra). And come back to this blog with your comments on how has this magic helped you!!
Secret No.3 Minimize Distractions
Last but not least, Let's be real, distractions are EVERYWHERE when you're trying to study. Social media, games, TV... it's a constant battle! Here are some tips I researched for you to minimise distractions:
The first step is to create a study fortress – a distraction-free zone where you can actually focus. Clear away the clutter, find a quiet spot, and make it YOUR space.
Put your phone on "Do Not Disturb" (or even better, leave it in another room!). Website blockers are your new best friends – they'll keep those tempting websites at bay.
And don't forget to take short breaks! Stretch your legs, listen to some chill music, or just step outside for a few minutes.
Finally, let your family know your study schedule. This way, they know when you need to concentrate and will hopefully give you the space you need. Trust me, a little communication goes a long way!
Believe me, you have the potential to achieve amazing things. By implementing these 3 secrets into your study routine, you'll unlock a new level of focus, efficiency, and academic success. So, experiment, find what works best for you, and enjoy the journey of continuous learning. You've got this!
